Abstract:With the construction and development of Jiangdong New District in Haikou City, the original defense capability of the seawall has been unable to meet its development requirements, and the seawall is urgently in need of being upgraded and reconstructed. For this reason, the design concept of "resilient seawall" is adopted, and the water conservancy, ecology and landscape engineering are integrated. The seawall in Jiangdong New District has been upgraded to meet the standards and ecologically improved. Through the upgrading and reconstruction of the project, the tide-proof capability of the seawall has been significantly enhanced to reduce the potential threat caused by storm surges to Jiangdong New District effectively, which realize the disaster prevention benefits, ecological benefits, economic benefits, social benefits and landscape image in all win.
