Abstract:Based on the national policy background, the proportion in the construction of urban road and utility tunnel will gradually increase on the basis of doing well in pilot projects everywhere in China. In this process, it is necessary to summarize the design experience of relevant projects. On the basis of ensuring the functions of urban road and utility tunnel separately, the conflicts of urban roads and utility tunnel in the application of underground space should be avoided, and at the same time, a good and orderly road landscape should be presented. The infrastructure construction project of the Tianfu International Medical Center of International Biological Town in Chengdu is a regional road network project, including 11 municipal supported roads. The total length is about 7.1 km, in which 1.4 km is laid with a utility tunnel under the road. Combined with the project, the key points of co-design of urban road and utility tunnel are studied, mainly including the co-design essentials of cross-section, plane and vertical section, which provides the technical support for the newly built urban road projects with utility tunnel.
