Abstract:Interchange node is a key point in the urban road network and plays a crucial role in the urban transportation system. The rationality of its scheme design is related to the overall efficiency of the urban road network. The Southeast Gateway of Xiaogan is an important transportation transformation node for the integrative development of Xiaogan and Wuhan, and is responsible for important transportation functions. The traffic congestion problems have emerged at the main nodes in the current area. In order to improve the overall efficiency of the transportation system in the area of the Southeast Gateway, a comprehensive study is conducted on the three interchange nodes of the Southeast Gateway. On the basis of sorting out the current problems and combined with the regional road network planning, the optimization ideas and overall node schemes are proposed, which provide the reference for studying the overall scheme of regional gateway node in the future.
