With the development of city, the low-speed transportation plays an increasingly important role. It is not only an important way for residents to have leisure, entertainment, shopping and exercise, but also a main way for residents to travel in short distance, and an indispensable link to connect with public transportation in medium and long distance travel. At present, more and more attention is being paid to the construction of low-speed transportation systems in various regions. Compared with the new projects, the upgrading and renovation of dedicated lanes for bicycle and electric bicycle will encounter the problems and difficulties such as the limited space and many obstacles, and the reconstruction effect has not met expectations. At present, there are no corresponding technical standards for the design of dedicated lanes for bicycle and electric bicycle in China. The details that should be paid attention to in the design of dedicated lanes for bicycle and electric bicycle are proposed through the engineering example of upgrading and reconstructing the dedicated lanes for bicycle and electric bicycle in Foshan. And the key points that need to be paid special attention to in the reconstruction design are studied and discussed.
