The concept of sponge city construction has been fully implemented in the municipal engineering construction projects for nearly 10 years. The fruitful results are achieved in the road engineering design practice under the concept of sponge city. But there are also some problems. Aiming at the common problems existing in the design of urban road LID facilities, the analysis and thought are carried out from three aspects of permeable pavement structure, road geometry design and important node LID facilities design, and some suggestions and reference samples are given, which can provide reference for the design of subsequent urban road sponge facilities.
