The rainwater inlet of drainage pipe mentioned in Regulations of Shanghai Municipality on Drainage and Sewage Treatment should have the function of waste interception. The filter device should be installed on the premise of meeting the requirements of flood prevention. In order to implement the requirements of the above regulations and to improve the water environmental quality of Shanghai, the Technical Regulations for Waste Intercepting Filter Device at Rainwater Inlet in Shanghai (DB31SW/Z015-2021) has been prepared and completed on the basis of experimental research and summary of relevant project construction experience, which was officially implemented on October 20, 2021. The interpretation of design requirements, installation and acceptance requirements, operation and maintenance requirements and the other main technical contents can understand the whole process of implementing the waste intercepting filter device at various rainwater inlets in Shanghai, which is helpful for the popularization and application of the regulations.
