Dalian is a peninsula city. Its overall terrain is wide in the north and narrow in the south. The bottleneck part in the territory is just the Jinzhou Bay Area. This area is an important channel for the external traffic of the city. In recent years, a new airport and Airport Economic Zone have been planned. The rapid development of the integrated three-dimensional transport puts forward the new requirements for the bearing capacity of urban traffic network in the area. On the basis of investigating the current traffic flow in the area, and scientifically predicting the traffic flow in 2025 and 2030, the Transcad software is used to evaluate the traffic service capacity of the planned road network. The analysis result shows that the traffic service capacity of the planned road network in the area can adapt the traffic increasing demands in the future, which provides the important reference for the traffic planning and construction of this area.
