Abstract::SThe construction of the pipe jacking method is gradually developing towards the trend of large diameter and high buried depth, which is prone to buckling failure during the construction process. The finite element analysis software ABAQUS is used to establish a simplified model of large-diameter steel pipe jacking, and the BUCKLE and RIKS methods are used to analyze the elastic and elastic-plastic buckling of the steel pipe. The influence of the exit wall thickness on the stability of the steel pipe and the buckling modes of the steel pipe under the action of axial and confining pressures are discussed. The results show that the wall thickness is an important factor affecting the ultimate bearing capacity of the steel pipe jacking; the buckling mode of the steel pipe under the action of confining pressure presents local buckling, and the buckling mode under the action of axial pressure is consistent with that of the Euler tube.
