With the rapid development of urban digital construction, more scientific, refined, and intelligent requirements have been put forward for urban governance-related businesses. The article introduces the application of the Xuhui District Flood and Typhoon Control Command System in the support of flood control, expounds the shortcomings of Xuhui’s original informatization construction and the significance and necessity of the new system construction, and analyzes the actual application effect of the flood control command system and construction highlights. Through the application of this system, the Xuhui District’s command and dispatch in the flood prevention and station protection work has been strengthened, the disaster handling model has been changed, and the data and system barriers at all levels and between departments have been broken. It further strengthened the data integration, sharing and interconnection between cities, districts, streets and towns.
