The new airport expressway (Shuangbu-Xiazhuang section) of Qingdao is an important passage for Jiaodong International Airport to ease the external traffic and connect with the central urban area. This paper considers the factors such as general urban planning, construction conditions, functional positioning and traffic characteristics comprehensively. Based on the comprehensive comparison and analysis of the laying mode, construction standard, overall scheme and interchange scheme of the project, a reasonable design scheme is put forward. And also, this paper introduces some new technologies applied in this project, which can be used as a reference for relevant projects.
