The south section of the six vertical lines in Chongqing is an important section in the north-south structural channel of the trough valley in the east of the main city. Through the analysis of functional orientation of the south section of six vertical lines, combined with the traffic forecast analysis, the overall design scheme for the south section of six vertical lines is expounded. The design and comparison of this project alignment, the road horizontal and vertical linear, the roadway types, and four interchange schemes along the line are introduced in detail.
