As an important part of the hub distribution system and the central urban area trunk road network in Ganzhou City, Ganzhou City Kejia Avenue West Extension Project can not only take on the function of hub traffic distribution, but also serve the medium and long distance traffics among the urban core groups and within the group. The engineering background and the construction necessity of this project are discussed in detail. On the basis of analyzing the current situation and planning conditions, its technical standards, the functional orientation and the service object are determined. The rationalities formed by using the different forms in sections are demonstrated. The overall layout scheme is put forward including the typical cross section layout, entrance and exit layout and key nodes, which has the reference significance for the planning and design of the similar projects.
