Chudu Avenue is the main road for Jingzhou City to develop northward. It is also the main passage to Jingzhou Garden Expo. The scheme of multi-span variable-section continuous beam bridge is adopted with an overall arrangement. The span of the bridge is 65 m + 123 m + 156 m + 123 m + 10 × 90 m + 55 m, with a total length of 1 434 m (including abutment). There are no mature engineering examples of bridges with such span and length. The length of the continuous beam of the bridge is the first of the total length of the same type of bridges at home and abroad.
