Abstract:The single-rib through bowstring arch has the characteristics of strong spanning capacity, less bridge deck width, low deck elevation, simple structure, appealing design, flexible and changeable construction methods, and good adaptive capacity so that it is widely applied in the modern city construction. The arch rib is generally set in the middle of bridge deck and the boom is also set directly below the arch rib because of only one arch rib transversely. If the deck width is larger, the transverse stress requirement of bridge deck is higher. Through an engineering case, the plane and spatial calculation software is used to compare and calculate the longitudinal overall stress and transverse stress of structure respectively. At the same time, the spatial stability of structure is analyzed to ensure the stress of each bridge component meet the requirements, which can be referred for the design of the similar bridges.
